Blog searching with Sphere
Sphere has an advanced search algorithm that hunts out relevant high quality and timely blog postings. Sphere scours the web searching out highly relevant new content relating to your search, and filtering out spam results. Sphere is said to be a faster way to search blogs, with rich added features.
Sphere has a Featured Blog area in your search, which displays top rated feature blogs for your topic area. They also have a Related Media button that clicks out to related news, books, podcasts that are powered by Yahoo.
Sphere's tools include a Sphere It! bookmarklet. This little widget allows users to access related blog content to the site they are currently browsing. Users can also utilize a custom date range slider bar to filter postings down.
Personally, I am not overly impressed with the tool. It is nice that they provide up to 7 lines of copy from the related blog in search results, but I did not find that the posting were relavant enough.

I agree with you and I did some searches there but was completely disappointed. I think that Google blog search is much much better. however, I noticed one good feature of Sphere and that is they index comments. So, I could find some of the comments that I made in different blogs.

4. Yes google search is currently more advanced but there is definitely something to be said for a highly focused engine targeting rapidly growing niche. I am mildly excited to see what they can do. Heavy bloggers should definitely not be overlooking Sphere.com.








1. From my understanding, Sphere also raised a small amount of capital before they launched.
