Blinkx Pico is an application that when downloaded onto your computer,
automatically and intelligently links up users to relevant information from anywhere in any format. There was one
concern that had kept coming up in people’s minds. Security. Can an application that is downloaded onto your
machine be safe? And not pass data files to anyone and anywhere that it shouldn’t? Can a hacker gain access to
these files being sent and uncover details about us?
I had a chat with the Chief Technology Officer at
blinkx, Suranga Chandratillake, lately, and he assures me that they are very serious about showing everyone that in no
way will your content and privacy be breached.
Suranga told me that they use strong encryption on what the
system is sending back and forth. But most importantly, they don't actually send anything but a string of numbers to
and from your client and the blinkx servers. The string of integers is a representation of the concepts on the users
screen. So if someone did happen to unscramble the message, they wouldn’t be able to read it anyways.
Blinkx has Softpedia
Spyware-free certification. So that should tell you first off they are highly concerned with security. The
Softpedia system guarantees that Blinkx Pico 4.0.19 is 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware,
including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors. This software product was tested thoroughly and
was found absolutely clean, therefore it can be installed with no concern by any computer user.
A big
thanks goes out to the team at blinkx, especially Jenny and Suranga for putting
our minds at ease in the security department. I’m using it now, and love it. It is extremely helpful in day to
day works.
