A forum thread in Digital Point notes that one member's experiment in pushing AdSense units below the fold paid off handsomely, at least in the short terms. Screen shots illustrate the change: ad units that used to be above page content are pushed below it; the owner stresses that putting the units below images boosted clickthrough rates by 400 percent. This goes against traditional reasoning, but it makes a certain sense; users who are interested enough in a page to examine it all the way to the bottom are more likely to be immune to ad blindness. (Page 1)3. Actually if you go to his site you will see he moves adsense text to where he did "before". Wonder if he realizes it wasn't really helpful even if he moved the text below the content.
