Techdirt points to ABC's
decision to set up its own
advertising network, and wonders if anyone is not setting up an ad network these days. The proliferation of
niched networks is really brought home in the new book, Pay-Per-Click Search Engine Marketing Handbook by
Boris Mordkovich and Eugene Mordkovich. This self-published, on-demand product is startlingly up to date, and I am told
that a new edition is already forthcoming to catch up on new developments like Google's CPM offering. Among much other
material, the Mordkovich book identified a top-ten list of top-tier PPC providers (Google, Yahoo!, FindWhat, Kanoodle,
etc.), then lists 12 more second-tier providers (BrainFox, Findology, GoClick, etc.), then presents a table with 30
more PPC engines that offer pre-funded accounts.
In my view, this book is the PPC bible. Stunningly up to date, the authors seem intent on keeping it that way.
Tracking, click fraud, branding, local advertising are all covered, plus plenty of background and tips from pros. I
have no affiliation with it. Sold here.
