Google has finally launched a serious update to Blogger.com after 15 months of ownership, during which time many observers (including this one) wondered why the place was stagnating. Still not exactly on the cutting edge, Blogger.com nevertheless offers phone-to-MP3 blogging, comments (geez, finally), e-mail blogging, and—most importantly to advertisers—blog entries are now assigned unique URLs. This last improvement makes Blogger.com sites more comprehensively searchable by Google (and other engines), and more rewarding for advertisers seeking placement on blog pages.
